Kitzbühel, Tirol, Austria - Walks

Schwarzsee - Fleckalmbahn - Kitzbühel

Walk from Kitzbühel along to Schwarzsee. Walk up near Fleckalmbahn to Saidlarmsee and back down to Kitzbühel.

St Johann - Kitzbüheler Horn - Kitzbühel

Take the train to St. Johann. Walk up to Horn, lift down to Kitzbühel.

Aschau - Pengelstein - Hahnenkamm

Take the bus to Aschau. Walk up to Pengelstein then across to Hahnenkamm. Walk down to Kitzbühel.

Bichlalm

Walk via Unteraurach, Oberaurach, Gaisbergsattel, Bichlalm, middle station Bichalmlift (now closed), path 28 back to Kitzbühel.

Fleckalmbahn - Pengelstein - Hahnenkamm

Take the bus to Fleckalmbahn. Lift, then walk to Pengelstein rest (Lunch). Then walk back to Hahnenkammbahn Lift. Take the lift down to Kitzbühel.

Bichalmlift - Horn Alpenhaus - Horn

Walk to Bichalmlift top station (now closed). Then walk to Horn Alpenhaus and Horn. Take the lift down to Kitzbühel.

Bichalmlift - Gaisbergsattel - Hochwildalm - Henlabjoch - Oberaurach - Unteraurach - Kitzbühel

Walk to Bichalmlift top station (now closed). Then walk via, Gaisbergsattel, Hochwildalm to Henlabjoch. Return  via  Oberaurach, Unteraurach  to Kitzbühel.

Hahnenkamm - Erhenbachöhe - Hahnenkamm

Take the lift to Hahnenkamm. Then walk around to Erhenbachöhe and the back to Hahnenkamm.

Horn - Müllneralm - St. Johann

Take the lift to the Horn. Walk down a steep narrow path to Müllneralm and the descend to St. Johann. Catch the train back from St. Johann to Kitzbühel.

Jochberger Ache - Hechenmoos - Kelchalm Wanderweg - Obere Kaseralm

Walk south along the river bank (Jochberger Ache) to Hechenmoos. Turn east up the road (Kelchalm Wanderweg 712) to Obere Kaseralm. Return same way.

Mittersill / Paß Thurn

Hollersbach im Pinzgau, Schattberg, Mittersill

This walk is 24km west of Zell am See along the Pinzgau valley. Take a bus to Hollersbach im Pinzgau. The walk heads south by the river and then ascends west to Schattberg. It then goes along through the Vorderer Lachwald and then descends  to Mittersill. Return by bus.

Paß Thurn - Panoramabahn - Resterhöhe

Catch  the bus to Paß Thurn. Take the second stage of the Panoramabahn to  Resterhöhe. Walk back down. Catch the bus back to Kitzbühel.

Paß Thurn - Tratenbachalm - Jochberg

Take the bus to Paß Thurn. Walk to to Tratenbachalm (Lunch). Walk along north east and descend to Jochberg. Catch the bus back to Kitzbühel.

Westendorf

Westendorf - Kirchberg

Take the bus or train to Westendorf. Go up the Alpenrosebahn lift. Walk back to near Kirchberg.  Bus back to Kitzbühel.

St. Johann in Tirol

St. Johann - Römerhof - Oberndorf in Tirol

Take the train to St. Johann. Walk north to Römerhof then south to Oberndorf in Tirol. Catch the bus back to Kitzbühel.
