Pertisau is in the Tirol (Tyrol) region of Austria and lies on the west side of the Achensee lake. Pertisau is east of Innsbruck and north of the Zillertal and Mayrhofen. The main road runs north - south down the east side of the lake and so there is no through traffic through Pertisau.
