Sankt Johann in Tirol is a small town in the Tirol (Tyrol) region of Austria at the eastern end of the Kitzbüheler Alpen. It is south west of Salzburg, to the east of Söll, Ellmau and Scheffau and only a few km north of Kitzbühel. The main west-east road (178) passes to the north-west of the town. The main road to Kitzbühel and Mittersill (161) heads south.

Skiing in St. Johann in Tirol

The Kitzbüheler Horn south of St. Johann offers some downhill skiing. In Kitzbühel the Hahnenkamm offers a large skiing area with the famous Hahnenkamm ski race.  A ski bus links the skiing areas. St. Johann is part of the Skigebiet Kitzbühel and also part of the Kitzbüheler Alpen Ski Region.
