Grindelwald is in the Bernese Oberland region of Switzerland. It lies to the north of the Eiger - Mönch - Jungfrau mountain range. Grindelwald is part of the Jungfrau region together with Interlaken, Wengen, Mürren, Bönigen, Ringgenberg-Goldswil, Iseltwald, Wilderswil and Lauterbrunnen. From the valley town of Interlaken, Grindelwald is reached by either road or train.
Grindelwald is a member of “Best of the Alps - The Classic Mountain Resorts”.

Buses
Buses run from Grindelwald west to Interlaken and east to Meiringen. There is a good network of buses in Interlaken.
Rail Stations (Bahnhof)
The main train network is run by Swiss Federal Railways (SBB). There is a regional train from Interlaken to Grindelwald. There is also a small mountain railway which goes to Kleine Scheidegg and the summit of Jungfrau (3454m).
