This section describes how to remove the CPU Cooler (Heatsink / fan) on a ASUS A8N-SLI deluxe PC mainboard (Motherboard) and replace it with a Arctic Cooling Freezer 64 Pro.

The original CPU cooler was a Akasa AK-856 AMD Cooler. While this worked as designed, it was not able to cope with removing the heat generated by the AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core Pocessor 4200+ CPU under load and in high ambient temperatures.
