The first task is to remove the graphic card from the PC mainboard.
- Turn the PC off.
- Disconnect the display cable from the graphics card.
- Remove the clip or screw holding the card in place and holding the clip on the end of the PC socket, pull the card out.
The original ASUS heatsink / fan is held on to the card by two black press in pegs. To remove the heatsink / fan:
Pull out the red/ black fan power lead plug from the socket on the card.
Turn the card over and using pliers, squeeze the ends of the black pegs together and then push the peg back through the card.
